Sony CDX-GT740UI In-Dash CD Receiver Wholesale Price Reviewed by Impetigo (Baltimore, MD)

I have this installed on my 2002 Honda Civic and played around with it all day on a trip to Philadelphia.

The Good:

1. USB input:

It works great! I stuck a 16GB flash drive SanDisk Cruzer with a ton of music and work fast and easy and, almost without any delay! Navigating through the tree of folders and files is very intuitive and easy to make and is very responsive. Scroll through the list of folders quickly with the main volume setting, and "click" the wheel as a button and then open a folder or file.

I also plugged my iPod Nano Gen 3 and my iPhone 3G and they work perfectly and quickly. The various lines of the screen, the screen you have iPod / iPhone access with the ability to select by album, artist, track, and other categories, just like on the device. Easy too fast. Both are charged via the USB cable and the iPhonecan do things added (such as GPS), while the arena amazed audio files via USB.

According to the AUX input:

This works pretty well. A transaction to see, and you can take the obvious is that the AUX and USB inputs can not be both available simultaneously, ie can not play the music caught in a ray drive, while production joint warning from your GPS on iPhone above date.

Third Nice design:

Overall, this receiver is really just designed. And 'aesthetically pleasing design with simple but beautiful. tent LCD is a Aphotic discouraged disheartened text with flames, while the backlit buttons and punch aggregates can be switched to half red, blue and green. Would accept was nice to be able to change the redness of the LCD, but I let them all down, and it looks good. Make sure there are some chrome used artificial affair, but in reality, to accept if all active during the day (and night). The search button is not bright artificial, but takes a little 'upmatte finish level on which I liked enough.

4. display four lines:

The screen is really nice, with four lines of text in a font size that is easy to read (but not direct sunlight). The first line indicates the entrance on the left and the clock on the right side. Then there are two different settings for three lines of text on the button. What I use is the place where the three lines are used to complete your music file. In other words, the second line is the name of the artist and title, and third line is the title of the song. The fourth (bottom) line shows the path # (and other file / folder info) on the left and the time spent on the right. The display setting is another to have the last two lines show other information, such as reading settings, etc., which is pointless IMO. The graphics that I found to interfere with the text, but, fortunately, there is an option to disable completely.

5. Easy to use:

Everything is designed in an intuitive way (I'T odd criticism for' zip 'event because I was not acclimated to accept, and I never see Application) and ease of use, access to the settings tab, and the atmosphere of the time, to change the playback settings, etc.

Bad:

Accuracy of the first display.

This is the absolutely only thing about this receiver flattery, but it is a legitimate concern. Marquise is nearly arrested in the sunlight. Smaller chapel topic skinnier is absolutely partly to blame, but embraces the accuracy of everyday life, not just fire sadly enough, and the use of this absurd receiving little 'problems during the day, it is brilliant out there. There is a dimmer, but the atmosphere at night is not accustomed to the environment in flames, the flames during the night is, I was angry at the action of hiding the car did not come up in flames anyway the ideal scenario.

According Awnings concealment function:

Moreover, the wordand concealment effort is absurd, because the punch and the button are generally more abundant than bright LCD, but LCD shutter awning with the function of concealment.

All in all, this is a large and a reception that I was the cat and mouse work for seven years. With it you do not collect more healthy brain dead or even extract MP3 CD, simply upload your USB (or AUX) accessories (HDD drive beam, media player, phone corpuscle, etc.) and are ready … terrible toll this receiver, do not distress!
